Can I drink directly from a stream or lake with this?
Yes, you can use it exactly like a straw, drawing water directly from any freshwater source. The filter does the work as you drink.

Does it fit standard water bottles?
Yes. The 28mm threaded port screws onto most standard plastic water bottles. It also works with the included water bag as a gravity-fed system.

How long does the filter last?
Up to 4,000 litres with regular backflushing. For context, that's years of casual use or multiple extended backcountry trips.

How do I clean and maintain it?
Backflush with clean water after each use, blow or squeeze water back through the inlet end to clear debris from the filter. Allow it to dry fully before storing.

Does this filter viruses?
The 0.01μm UF membrane removes bacteria and protozoa (99.9999% effectiveness), but is not rated for viral removal. For travel to areas with known viral waterborne risks, pair it with purification tablets.
